Professor Samuele Vorpe, born in Sorengo in 1979, 3rd July, is a Professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI).

He got his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration in 2005 and his Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Tax Law in 2009 at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) in Manno. Later on, in 2019 he got his Bachelor of Law (BLaw), followed by a Master of Law (MLaw) in 2021, at the University of Lucerne. Moreover, in 2021 he achieved his PhD in European law and national legal systems at the University of Ferrara.

Since 2010, he is the Director of the Tax Law Competence Centre at SUPSI, where he manages two MAS, one in taxation law (MAS Tax Law) and another one in Business Law. Furthermore, he is actually engaged in teaching, with a focus on national and international taxation law, constitutional law, public law, and labor law. His lessons cover the BSc in Business Administration, the MAS in Tax Law, the one in Business Law and the training course for Swiss Certified Tax Expert.

 

He counts several seminars and conferences as speaker as well as assorted publications. His latest monography, entitled “I privilegi fiscali per le persone facoltose”, released in 2020, deals with the debated topic of privileged tax regimes for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), comparing among others the lump-sum taxation accordingly to Swiss law and the new-residents regime implemented by Italy.

In addition, he regularly contributes with papers for scientific journals. In particular, he is used to monitor the evolution of tax law, addressing the topic “Novità legislative nel campo del diritto Tributario”, issued by the “Rivista ticinese di Diritto” (RtiD) and to frequently publish in “Novità fiscali” (NF), the review issued by the Tax Law Competence Centre, of which he is also the founder and the director.”
